Michael Williams (born September 8, 1990) is a former American football tight end who played in the NFL. He went to high school at Pickens County in Reform, Alabama, and college at Alabama, where he had 51 receptions for 503 yards and seven touchdowns. He helped Alabama win three national championships (2010, 2012, 2013). In the 2013 NFL Draft, Williams was selected by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round (211th overall).

Williams broke his hand in a 2013 preseason game and was placed on injured reserve. The Lions later moved him to offensive tackle and gave him number 73. In 2015, he was traded to the New England Patriots for a 2017 seventh-round pick and returned to the tight end position, wearing No. 85. That season he appeared in 15 regular-season games with nine starts, catching three passes for 26 yards. He also played in the Patriots’ playoff games and started the AFC Championship Game.

In June 2016, Williams tore his ACL during a practice and was waived/injured, ending his season on injured reserve. The Patriots won Super Bowl LI that year. He re-signed with the Patriots in March 2017 but was released in May 2017.

Williams is currently the head football coach at his alma mater, Pickens County High School in Reform, Alabama.
