Mfuwe Airport (IATA: MFU, ICAO: FLMF) is a public and military airport near Mfuwe in Zambia’s Eastern Province. It sits about 1,853 feet (565 meters) above sea level and has one asphalt runway, 2,200 meters (7,218 feet) long, labeled 09/27. The airport serves Mfuwe and the nearby South Luangwa National Park and other wildlife areas in the Luangwa Valley, making it a popular gateway for safaris. It is one of Zambia’s four international airports, declared international in 1995, with seasonal international flights.
