Metascience (journal)
Metascience is a peer‑reviewed, multidisciplinary journal published three times a year by Springer Nature. It publishes reviews of books in the history and philosophy of science and in science and technology studies. The journal began in 1984, established by the Australasian Association for the History, Philosophy and Social Studies of Science, and was re‑established in 1991 as a new series with the subtitle An International Review Journal for the History, Philosophy and Social Studies of Science, led by Michael Shortland. In 2017, its operations moved from the philosophy department at SUNY Oswego to the Centre for Science Studies at Aarhus University. As of 2021, the editors‑in‑chief are K. Brad Wray (Aarhus University) and Jonathan Simon (University of Lorraine). Metascience is indexed in Scopus and is published in English.
