1987 U.S. Clay Court Championships
The 1987 U.S. Clay Court Championships was a Grand Prix men's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay in Indianapolis, Indiana. It was the 19th and final edition held in Indianapolis. The event ran July 13–19 with 56 players in singles and 28 teams in doubles, and prize money of $300,000.
Top seed Mats Wilander won the singles title, defeating Kent Carlsson 7–5, 6–3 in the final. In doubles, Laurie Warder and Blaine Willenborg beat Joakim Nyström and Mats Wilander 6–0, 6–3.
The tournament moved to a July date to attract stronger fields after the previous spring event drew weaker participation. The date change clashed with the Virginia Slims of Newport, so there was no women's event in 1987.
