The Mequon-Thiensville School District (MTSD) serves the Milwaukee suburbs of Mequon and Thiensville, Wisconsin. Matthew Joynt has been the superintendent since 2017. The district has about 16 students for every teacher.

MTSD has faced budget pressures as enrollment declined and a new state funding formula changed how schools are funded. In February 2006, plans for a $7.5 million budget increase were rejected, and the district hired TV personality Dennis Krause as a fundraiser and Community Resource Director.

In 2021 there was a movement to recall several members of the school board.

In the 2012-2013 school year MTSD served 3,563 students. The student population was about 82.7% white, 5.8% Black, 5.8% Asian, 3.6% Hispanic, 0.06% Pacific Islander, and 0.02% Native American.
