Journey: The Adventures of Wolverine MacAlistaire is an independent comic book created by William Messner-Loebs. It is about life on the Michigan frontier in the 1800s, centered around Fort Miami and the people who live there, both real and fictional. The main character is Joshua "Wolverine" MacAlistaire.

Publication history
- The series began as a backup feature in Cerebus #48–49 from Aardvark-Vanaheim, then became its own monthly title starting with issue #1 in March/April 1983.
- The 13th issue features an intercompany crossover with Jim Valentino’s Normalman.
- After 14 issues, the series moved to Fantagraphics, which published 13 more issues for a total of 27.
- Fantagraphics collected the Cerebus backup features with the first four issues as Tall Tales (1987) and included a Journey story in Anything Goes! #5 (1987).
- A sequel, Journey: Wardrums ( Fantagraphics, 1987–1990), was billed as six issues but only two were published.
- A new Journey story appeared in the 2008 one-shot Many Happy Returns (About Comics).
- In July 2008, IDW Publishing released a trade paperback collecting the first 16 issues, and a second volume followed in 2009 collecting the next ten issues.

Collected editions
- The Journey Saga Volume One: Tall Tales (collects the Cerebus backups and the first four Journey issues)
- Journey: The Adventures of Wolverine MacAlistaire, Vol. 1
- Journey: The Adventures of Wolverine MacAlistaire, Vol. 2

The series is a notable example of 1980s indie comics, blending frontier life with a continuing ensemble cast around Wolverine MacAlistaire.
