Meomyia is a genus of bee flies in the family Bombyliidae. Bee flies are a type of fly that often looks like a bee. Taxonomy: Kingdom Animalia, Phylum Arthropoda, Class Insecta, Order Diptera, Family Bombyliidae, Subfamily Bombyliinae, Tribe Bombyliini, Genus Meomyia (described by Evenhuis in 1983). A known species in this genus is Meomyia sericans.
