Me!
Me! is a 2019 pop single by Taylor Swift featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco, from the album Lover. It was released on April 26, 2019, and is a bright bubblegum/synth-pop track with a marching-band feel about embracing individuality and self-love. It was written by Taylor Swift, Brendon Urie, and Joel Little, and produced by Swift and Little.
The song was a big hit. It debuted at number 100 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and jumped to number 2 the next week, the biggest one‑week rise in the chart’s history at the time. It reached the top of charts in several countries and earned multi‑platinum certifications, including double platinum in the United States. The music video, directed by Swift and Dave Meyers, is known for its vivid, colorful visuals and many Easter eggs about the Lover era. It set Vevo and YouTube 24‑hour view records for a lead female video, with about 65.2 million views in the first day, and won several awards, including Best Visual Effects at the MTV VMAs.
Swift and Urie performed the song at many events and it was used in NFL draft promos and a Capital One ad campaign. A lyric mentioning “spelling is fun” was later removed from digital versions of the song in 2019.
