Maysville is a small community in Grant County, West Virginia. It is not its own town, but it was the original county seat of Grant County. Maysville sits along the North Fork Lunice Creek, at the eastern edge of Mays Gap in Knobly Mountain, along West Virginia Route 42. The name comes from the Mays (or Mayse) family.
