The Mayor of Grey District is the head of Grey District Council in New Zealand. The council seat is in Greymouth. The current mayor is Tania Gibson, who has held the role since 31 October 2019. Grey District was created in 1989 when Greymouth Borough and Grey County were merged. Before that, Greymouth had its own mayor (from the Greymouth Borough Council, starting in 1868) and Grey County had chairmen (from 1877). The first Grey County chairman was Arthur Guinness. The Greymouth Borough elections were first held on 26 August 1868, with nine councillors elected; Edward Masters became the first mayor.

Barry Dallas served as mayor of Greymouth from 1966–1968 and 1980–1989, and became the first mayor of Grey District in 1989 after the reforms. Since then, the head of the Grey District Council has been the mayor.
