Max Griggs
William Maximillian Griggs, known as Max Griggs (September 1938 – 8 July 2021), was a British businessman. He led the R Griggs Group, owner of the Dr. Martens boot company, one of the UK's biggest shoe makers. In 2019, he and his son Stephen were worth about £264 million according to the Sunday Times Rich List. In 1992 he bought Rushden Town and Irthlingborough Diamonds football clubs and merged them into Rushden & Diamonds FC. He died on 8 July 2021 at age 82.
