Maty Fall Diba
Maty Fall Diba is a Senegalese fashion model born on May 1, 2001, in Dakar, Senegal. She is 1.78 meters tall (5 ft 10 in) and is represented by IMG Models in New York.
She moved to Italy at age 9 and grew up in Chiampo. By 18, she had become an Italian citizen. She was quickly signed by IMG Models after submitting photos through their scouting portal.
Fall Diba’s first big moment came as a semi-exclusive for Saint Laurent's Spring/Summer 2020 show, and she went on to close Valentino and walk for Sacai and Lanvin that season. Since then, she has opened Missoni's Fall/Winter 2020 show, closed Philosophy's Spring/Summer 2021 show and opened their Fall/Winter 2021 show, and closed Dior's Resort 2021, Blumarine's Spring/Summer 2021, Valentino's Fall/Winter 2021, and Max Mara's Resort 2022.
In February 2020, she landed her first Vogue Italia cover, a magazine issue celebrating Italian beauty, and she appeared on Vogue Italia again in May 2021. There was controversy when a councilor claimed she wasn’t an "Italian beauty," but the councilor was fired over the comments. She also appeared on Vogue Italia's June and December 2021 covers and was one of nine models of African descent featured in British Vogue's February 2022 issue.
Fall Diba is ranked among Models.com’s Top 50 Models. During the Spring/Summer 2021 season, she walked more shows than any other model, including closing Dior. She has studied English, Spanish, and French.
