Mahsa Pourrahmati
Mahsa Pourrahmati is an Iranian épée fencer who competes for Iran as a left-handed athlete. Born in March 1992 in Tabriz, she stands about 1.72 meters tall and weighs around 67 kg. As a member of Iran’s national fencing team, she made history at age 21 by winning Iran’s first women’s fencing medal in the individual event at the Asian Under-23 Championships. She later earned a bronze medal at the 2013 Asian Games hosted in Kuwait. In 2018, at the Asian Fencing Championships in Thailand, Iran’s women’s team reached the top eight in team épée for the first time. Pourrahmati noted that four months of training helped the team defeat Australia and lift their ranking in Asia. Her goal is to win an Olympic quota.
