Maggie O'Carroll
Maggie O'Carroll is a social entrepreneur and professor. She is the CEO of The Women’s Organisation, the UK's largest agency helping women start and grow businesses, and a visiting professor at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. She is a graduate of Cambridge University’s Judge Business School. In 1996, she co-founded The Women’s Organisation, which was first named Train 2000. The organisation has supported more than 70,000 enterprising women and helped create over 4,000 new businesses. In 2017, she was named one of Spotlight 10 by WISE100 (Women in Social Enterprise 100), an initiative of NatWest SE100 Index and Pioneers Post. She has also given invited lectures at the University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University.
