Madonna Schacht
Madonna Schacht (born in the 1940s) is a former Australian tennis player who competed in the 1960s. She grew up in Gympie, Queensland, and attended St Patrick's College. Schacht began touring overseas in 1962 and reached the Wimbledon round of 16 on her first try. She was a three-time singles quarter-finalist at the Australian Championships and reached the quarter-finals at the 1966 U.S. National Championships. Her titles include the 1962 Irish Championships (singles) and the 1965 Italian Championships (doubles). In the 1970s she was involved in a custody battle with her former husband, Dr. Rudi Weber, a Monash University physicist. After separating, he took her infant son to live in Europe, but she regained custody after about a year of legal fight.
