Government is handled by a three-member board of trustees. Trustees are elected in November of odd-numbered years for four-year terms starting on January 1. Two trustees are elected the year after a presidential election, and one is elected the year before it. There is also a township fiscal officer elected to a four-year term beginning on April 1 after the election (held in November of the year before the presidential election). If a vacancy occurs, the remaining trustees fill it.
