Madhavadhara (మాధవధార) is a residential area in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India. Surrounded by hills, it sits in a beautiful natural setting and is one of the city’s important residential neighborhoods. The area is famous for three nearby waterfalls—Gomukhadhara, Chakradhara, and Madhavadhara—and for a group of ancient temples dedicated to Lord Madhava, Venugopala Swamy, and Lord Shiva. There is an old trekking path from the Madhavswamy temple to Simhachalam Temple, and you can find some ruins of Buddhist stupas around the temple area. Madhavadhara is well connected with other parts of the city, with APSRTC buses linking it to Gajuwaka, NAD X Road, Dwaraka Nagar, and beyond.
