Mad Monday is the end‑of‑the‑season celebration for Australian football players, usually held after the last games. Since matches are on weekends, teams learn by Sunday night whether they’ll compete in the finals or if their season is over. These celebrations have sometimes caused embarrassing incidents, leading some people to call for banning the tradition.
