MSN China was the Chinese version of Microsoft’s MSN portal, run as a joint venture with 50% Microsoft ownership. It had its own design and editorial team, unlike other MSN sites that followed the U.S. layout since 2014.

In 2010 MSN China partnered with Sina to integrate services in response to competition from Tencent.

In 2016 Microsoft announced that MSN China would close on June 7 to focus on Windows 10 services, redirecting users to Chinese sites and Bing. The site was relaunched in 2018.

In November 2009 MSN China launched MSN Juku, a microblogging service described by some as Twitter-like. Plurk accused MSN China of copying much of its code and UI; Microsoft confirmed some copied code and suspended MSN Juku.

Microsoft also listed Chinese MSN apps for Windows Phone, including Bing Dictionary, Bing Reader, Star-Bing, Bing Images, Bing Maps, and other related apps, under its Windows Phone Store and other platforms.
