Bilawal Bhatti
Bilawal Bhatti (born 17 September 1991) is a Pakistani cricketer known as a versatile all-rounder. He bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast-medium. Born in Muridke, Punjab, he played for Pakistan from 2013 to 2015.
Bhatti made his ODI debut against South Africa in Cape Town on 24 November 2013, making an immediate impact by scoring 39 off 25 and taking 3 for 37. He earned his Test cap soon after, debuting on 31 December 2013 against Sri Lanka and taking five wickets in two innings while contributing handy runs (24 not out and 32). His T20I debut was on 20 November 2013 against South Africa, with his last T20I coming on 24 May 2015 against Zimbabwe.
In domestic cricket, Bhatti played for the Sialkot Stallions from 2012 to 2015, then joined the Karachi Kings in 2016, Lahore Qalandars in 2017, and Multan Sultans in 2020 (squad number 80).
Key achievements include a standout performance in first-class cricket: in the 2015–16 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final he took 8/88 in the match and 11/95 overall. He was the leading wicket-taker for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited in the 2018–19 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy with 36 wickets in ten matches. He was named in Punjab’s squad for the 2019 Pakistan Cup and later in Southern Punjab’s squad for the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He also won a bronze medal with Pakistan at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games.
Bhatti is regarded as a genuine all-rounder, capable with both bat and ball. His career has included a shoulder injury that kept him out of PSL 2017, and a few costly spells in international cricket, including a very expensive over in the 2014 T20 World Cup and a notably expensive ODI against New Zealand in 2015, which matched a record for the most expensive bowling by a Pakistani bowler.
