Luzhou Lantian Airport
Luzhou Lantian Airport (IATA: LZO, ICAO: ZULZ) was a dual‑use military and public airport in Luzhou, Sichuan, China. It opened in 1945 and was initially used by the US Air Force on a World War II route between China and India. Services were suspended in the 1960s, and the site later served as a training base for the People’s Liberation Army Air Force. Major renovations were completed in January 2001. Because of its limited facilities, a new airport, Luzhou Yunlong Airport, was built in Yunlong Town, Lu County, and opened on 10 September 2018, with all flights moved there. Luzhou Lantian Airport ceased passenger services on 10 September 2018 and was closed in June 2021. In 2015, it handled 844,624 passengers, 8,932 aircraft movements, and 2,868.2 metric tons of cargo. The airport had a 2,400-meter concrete runway (07/25).
