Luftflotte 1 (Air Fleet 1) was a major part of the German Luftwaffe in World War II. It was formed on 1 February 1939 in Berlin from Luftwaffengruppenkommando 1 and remained active until 16 April 1945. The fleet operated mainly in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Finland to support Axis forces, with command offices in Malpils, Latvia from 26 June 1944 on the Eastern Front. It was based in East Prussia, Courland and the Baltic region, and included fighter units like JG 54, the Kuhlmey combat group, and units for tactical reconnaissance and ground-attack missions. It was linked to Kampfgeschwader 200 (KG 200).
