Lowndes Henry Davis (December 13, 1836 – February 4, 1920) was an American politician from Missouri who served in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1879 to 1885. He was born in Jackson, Missouri, and graduated from Yale College in 1860 and Louisville University Law School in 1863. Davis practiced law in Jackson and served as state attorney for Missouri’s 10th judicial district from 1868 to 1872. He participated in Missouri’s constitutional convention in 1875 and served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 1876 to 1878. Elected as a Democrat to the U.S. Congress in 1878, he served three terms, representing Missouri’s 4th district (1879–1883) and then the 14th district (1883–1885). He was chairman of the Committee on Expenditures in the Department of the Treasury during the 48th Congress (1883–1885). Davis died in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and was buried in Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama.
