Love Comes Quietly is a 1973 Belgian-Dutch drama film directed by Nikolai van der Heyde. The story follows an American who returns to his Dutch hometown and creates a stir when his pregnant stepdaughter begins an affair with the son of the local cheese factory owner, causing the conservative village to despise her.

Written by Nikolai van der Heyde and André Kuyten and produced by Henk Bos, the film stars Barbara Hershey. Cinematography is by Jörgen Persson, editing by August Verschueren, and music by Georges Delerue. The movie runs 113 minutes and is in English and Dutch.

Love Comes Quietly was released in June 1973 and was entered into the 23rd Berlin International Film Festival. Barbara Hershey won a gold medal at the Atlanta Film Festival for her role. Notably, Hershey was six months pregnant during filming, so the director rewrote the screenplay to fit her condition.
