Louis Thomas (Maliseet)
Louis Thomas (also Louis Thomas-Saint-Aubin and Louis Saint-Aubin) lived around 1766 to around 1869. He was a chief of the Wolastoqiyik, the North American First Nations people known as the Maliseet. In 2002, the Canadian government designated him a Person of National Historic Significance for his efforts to defend Maliseet interests and rights.
