List of largest Italian companies
This article highlights Italy’s largest companies by size, using three major sources: Fortune Europe 500, Global Database, and Forbes Global 2000. The lists use different measures and years, so the figures vary.
- Fortune Europe 500: 23 Italian companies are included. Data come from the 2022 fiscal year and are shown in millions of US dollars. The list also shows each company’s headquarters and industry.
- Global Database: ranks the largest publicly traded Italian firms based on 2023/24 results. It provides revenue, operating income, net income, total assets, and total equity, along with headquarters and sector.
- Forbes Global 2000: includes 28 Italian companies. The ranking uses a mix of revenue, net profit, total assets, and market value, with figures in billions of US dollars for 2023, and also lists headquarters and industry.
