List of countries by net reproduction rate
This article lists countries and dependent territories in order by their net reproduction rate (R0). R0 is the average number of daughters a woman would have in her lifetime and it helps show how fast a population is changing. An R0 of 1 means the population would stay the same if there were no net migration. An R0 above 1 indicates growth, while an R0 below 1 indicates a shrinking population. The data are for 2023 and come from the United Nations’ World Population Prospects 2024.
