List of churches in the Archdiocese of Chicago. This article lists current and former Catholic churches in the Archdiocese, which covers Cook and Lake Counties. The archdiocese is divided into six vicariates for administration. Vicariate I is the northern part, covering Lake County and parts of Cook County, and includes the communities of Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Lake Forest, Mount Prospect, Mundelein, Schaumburg, and Waukegan. Churches in these communities are listed in the Vicariate I section.
