Thailand has 39 airports with passenger service, including 10 international airports. The Department of Airports (DOA) operates 29 airports, Airports of Thailand (AOT) runs 7, Bangkok Airways (BA) operates 3, and the Royal Thai Navy (RTN) runs 1. Six major international airports are managed by AOT and serve as the main gateways for international travelers, while smaller commercial airports may be operated by the DOA or by individual airlines. Thailand also has military and private airports that support military operations, private flights, and general aviation. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) classifies airports into four categories based on their location in large cities and passenger traffic. In addition to the 39 airports with scheduled services, the list includes airstrips and facilities without scheduled flights, as well as airports under construction or planned. Coordinates for airports are available in the list.
