Global directory of LGBTQ periodicals by country

This article lists printed LGBTQ magazines, journals, and newspapers from around the world and points to major archives and online copies.

- Australia: AQuA Periodicals Collection at the Australian Queer Archives collects Australian LGBTQ periodicals.

- Canada and international: The ArQuives in Toronto houses a large collection of LGBT periodicals. Their site and archived pages are good sources for finding titles from Canada and beyond.

- Hong Kong: A separate bibliography, Towards Full Citizenship (5th edition, 2024), lists current and past Hong Kong LGBT periodicals. Earlier editions are accessible via Library and Archives Canada and WorldCat. Some 1990s titles have copies online at Internet Archive, including Contacts Magazine and Satsanga Newsletter, and Hong Kong Ten Percent Journal. An index titled IN THEIR OWN VOICES covers the contents and is available online and through Aurora (Library and Archives Canada).

- Mainland China: Notable Beijing titles include Gay Spot (also written as GS) and Le Dian, plus Femalefield (女性天地) and Les+ (Beijing, 2005–2013). Missionary began in 2018. The first Missionary issue called “Public” discussed male homosexuality in public spaces. For Hong Kong titles, see the Hong Kong bibliography above.

- South Asia: Anamika (1986) was a print magazine for South Asian lesbians and bisexual women.

- Southeast Asia and beyond: The Australian Gay and Lesbian Archives notes Indonesian titles (four titles are listed, though specific names aren’t provided here). Dunas Mag is a gay magazine from Maspalomas and Gran Canaria (in English, published quarterly; now out of print).

- Thailand: The Australian National University project has archived many Thai LGBT periodicals, and the ThaiRainbowArchive provides a catalogue of these titles.

- Digital preservation and access: Many copies are preserved or searchable via Internet Archive. Library and Archives Canada and WorldCat provide catalog records for several titles.
