Linda Lawson (actress)
Linda Lawson (born Linda Gloria Spaziani; January 14, 1936 – May 18, 2022) was an American actress and singer. She was the first of three children of Italian immigrants Maria Cataldi and Edward Spaziani. Born in Michigan, her family moved to Fontana, California when she was five. After graduating from Chaffey High School, she began acting in 1955 with a government short film. She was nicknamed "Miss Cue" in 1955 after nuclear tests known as Operation Teapot (also called Operation Cue).
Lawson appeared on many TV shows, including Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Maverick, and Adventures in Paradise (as Renee in six episodes). She starred as Pat Perry in Don't Call Me Charlie! (18 episodes) and as Laura Fremont in Ben Casey (nine episodes). Her other television credits include Bonanza, It Takes a Thief, The Virginian, Perry Mason, The Real McCoys, Sea Hunt, Tales of Wells Fargo, 77 Sunset Strip, Hawaiian Eye, Border Patrol, Colt .45, Peter Gunn, Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer, and The Tall Man.
In film, she appeared in Sometimes a Great Notion and Night Tide (1961) opposite Dennis Hopper. In 1960 she released the album Introducing Linda Lawson, with Marty Paich conducting and arranging the tracks.
She married film producer John Foreman in 1961, and they had two daughters, Amanda Foreman and Julie Foreman. Linda Lawson died on May 18, 2022, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, at age 86; her death was announced two weeks later.
