John James Ormond (1795–1866) was an associate justice of the Alabama Supreme Court from 1837 to 1847. He was born in England to English parents and died on March 4, 1866, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He lived at Ormond House, which is now called Ormond-Miller House.

Ormond helped write the Code of Alabama with Arthur Pendleton Bagby, George Goldthwaite, and Henry Churchill. He also wrote many important legal papers. After about ten years on the court, he did not seek reelection in 1847.

His daughter, Mary Elizabeth Ormond, married John W. Mallet of Texas, who was born in Ireland.

The Code of Alabama was published in 1852 by Brittian De Wolf, the state printer.
