Let It Rain (1927 film)

Let It Rain is a 1927 American silent comedy film produced by and starring Douglas MacLean. It was directed by Edward F. Cline, with a screenplay by Wade Boteler, George Crone, and Earle Snell. Paramount Pictures distributed the movie. The film runs 70 minutes and is silent with English intertitles. The cinematography was by Jack MacKenzie.

Plot
A Marine sergeant nicknamed "Let-It-Rain" Riley falls in love with a young woman. He deserts his post to meet her before a rival sailor — with whom he competes for the same girl — can take shore leave to see her. During the ensuing adventures, Riley and the girl uncover criminals behind a mail robbery. In the end, Riley earns his commission and wins the girl.
