Laurent Tailhade
Laurent Tailhade (April 16, 1854 – November 1, 1919) was a French satirical poet, anarchist writer, essayist, and translator. He was active in Paris in the 1890s and early 1900s. Born in Tarbes, France, Tailhade later worked in Paris. In April 1894, he was injured in the Foyot bombing in Paris while dining with his partner, Julia Miahle. A bomb hidden in a flower pot exploded near them, and Tailhade lost an eye and spent weeks recovering. He died in Combes-la-Ville, France, at the age of 65.
