Laura McKenzie (born 1963 in Kansas City, Missouri) is an American author, television producer and presenter best known for Laura McKenzie’s Traveler, a travel show that earned two Emmy nominations. She began as an NBC reporter, creating two-minute Travel Tips segments that aired nationwide in the 1980s. She also wrote a syndicated Sunday travel column and produced 42 travel videos for Republic Pictures.

McKenzie created and hosted many TV series across Discovery and Travel Channel networks, including Great Moments of the 20th Century, Laura McKenzie’s Round Trip, Laura McKenzie’s Travel Tips, Laura McKenzie’s Travel America, and American Adventurer—the longest-running adventure program with 270 episodes. She acted in series such as Platinum and The DaVinci Code Tour and appeared in films like Chill Factor. She co-hosted American Adventurer with Erik Estrada for 10 years; the show aired on KCAL-TV9 and was syndicated internationally, earning two Telly Awards for Best Hosts. Her work earned Daytime Emmy nominations (2009, 2010) and a 2010 Gracie Award for the Vietnam episode. She hosted the Christmas Caroler Challenge in 2019–2020 and co-hosted the 92nd Hollywood Christmas Parade in 2024. She has received multiple industry awards, including Telly, Davey, and Hermes awards.
