Laomedeia, also spelled Laomedea, is a Nereid, one of the fifty sea-nymph daughters of Nereus, the Old Man of the Sea, and the Oceanid Doris. Her Ancient Greek name is believed to mean "ruler of the people" or "counselor of the people."
