Lakena United
Lakena United is a football club from Nanumea, Tuvalu. They play in the Tuvalu A-Division, and their home ground is the Tuvalu Sports Ground in Funafuti, which can hold about 1,500 spectators. The club was founded in 1980 and operates as an amateur team; they also have a reserve squad and a women’s team. The head coach is Tiota Semaia.
Lakena United has won the Independence Cup six times (2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2007, 2019) and the Tuvalu A-Division twice (2004, 2006). They also claimed the Christmas Cup in 2011.
