Bee orchid
Bee orchid is a common name for several orchids. These flowers look and smell like female bees to fool male bees into visiting and spreading pollen. The best-known example is the European bee orchid, Ophrys apifera. There are other related species with bee-like flowers that are also called bee orchids, such as the bumblebee orchid. Bee orchids grow in meadows, grasslands, and open woodlands in Europe and nearby regions, and they usually bloom in spring.
