Krzysztof Stanisław Gawara, born on 15 March 1958 in Sienno, Poland, is a former football defender and coach. He is 1.85 meters tall. He began his career in Bydgoszcz and Gdańsk with Polonia Bydgoszcz, then played for Zawisza Bydgoszcz and Lechia Gdańsk. In 1983 he joined Ruch Chorzów, making his top-flight Ekstraklasa debut, and later played for Legia Warsaw. In 1988 he moved abroad to Polonia Sydney in Australia, then to Finnish clubs FF Jaro and Tampereen Pallo-Veikot, where he won the Finnish league title in 1994. He finished his playing career with EuPa Eura.

After retiring as a player, Gawara became a coach. He first managed Wicher Kobyłka, then Legia Warsaw’s reserve team. In 2001 he served briefly as Legia Warsaw’s caretaker manager, before becoming an assistant to Dragomir Okuka. He later worked with Legia’s second team and then joined the senior squad’s technical staff as an assistant to Dariusz Kubicki. After Kubicki’s resignation in 2004, he was part of a temporary trio of trainers, and then became an assistant when Jacek Zieliński was appointed. In 2006 he left Legia to manage Huragan Wołomin, a position he held until 2011.
