Krtovce is a small municipality in Slovakia, located in the Topoľčany District of the Nitra Region. It is also known by its Hungarian name, Kartolc. The village sits at about 208 meters above sea level and covers an area of 4.20 square kilometers.

Population and demographics
As of December 31, 2024, 288 people live in Krtovce. In the 2021 census, the population by ethnicity was mostly Slovak (274 people), with a small number not identified (8), and a few Ukrainians (3). The total counted was 290 people.

Geography
Krtovce lies in the Nitra Region of central Slovakia, at coordinates approximately 48.53°N latitude and 18.02°E longitude.

History
The village was first mentioned in historical records in 1156.

Community and sports
The local football team, OFK Krtovce, competes in the sixth tier of Slovak football.

Religion
In 2021, the majority of residents identified as Roman Catholic (206). Other responses included None (44), Jehovah’s Witnesses (10), Evangelical Church (9), Eastern Orthodox (8), and a small number not found out (7).
