Drosanthemum floribundum
Drosanthemum floribundum is a succulent flowering plant in the ice plant family (Aizoaceae). It is native to the Eastern Cape of South Africa and has become naturalised in Portugal, parts of Australia (South Australia, Western Australia, Victoria) and in Pacific Grove, California, where it is sold as “Magic Carpet.” Commonly called rodondo creeper, pale dewplant, or dew-flower, it is a trailing perennial with hairy stems. Leaves are small and either cylindrical or triangular in cross-section, about 3–15 mm long and 1–2.5 mm wide. The flowers are up to 2.5 cm wide and can be lavender, pink, or occasionally white.
