Kolad railway station is the first stop on the Konkan Railway in Maharashtra, India. It lies near the Mumbai–Goa Highway, about 12.9 km south of Roha. The next station is Indapur, which is a halt. Kolad has one platform and four trains stop there each day; no trains originate from this station. The station code is KOL, and it is part of the Ratnagiri division. The line at Kolad is electrified. It’s about 80 km from Pune’s Lohegaon airport. In 2012, Konkan Railway operated ro-ro (roll‑on, roll‑off) services from Kolad to Verna in Goa and to Suratkal in Karnataka, among other routes. Kolad is also known for adventure sports, especially white-water rafting on the Kundalika River.
