Kip Hill is a village in County Durham, England. It lies just north of Stanley and near Shield Row. The village has two pubs: the Blue Bell Inn and the Ball Alley, which used to be called the Shield Row Hotel. The area was originally known as Kiphill, but its name was changed to Kip Hill sometime between 1895 and 1898. Kip Hill is about a mile from Causey Arch and Causey Burn.
