Bernard Leete
Bernard More Troughton Shute Leete (8 October 1898 – 1978) was an English aviator and RAF pilot who later worked with the Directorate of Civil Aviation in India. He is best known for the first light‑aircraft flight from England to India. In 1926–27 he flew with T. N. Stack toward Karachi in a De Havilland DH.60; they reached Karachi in June 1927. He received the AFC for these efforts and was later named an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE). He was born in Claygate, Surrey and died in Stanmore, Middlesex.
