Tommy Hands (Thomas Hands) was an English footballer born on 4 January 1870 in Birmingham. He played as an outside left. Hands joined Small Heath in December 1890 after playing for local clubs and went on to make 134 league appearances and score 40 goals for the club between 1890 and 1896. He was known for his speed and was part of a high-scoring forward line that helped Small Heath win the Second Division in their first Football League season and earn promotion to the First Division. He stayed in the top division for two more seasons before leaving at the end of the 1895–96 season after a money dispute, and he did not play in the league again. He later played for Kings Heath from 1896 to 1900.
