Kaye Freeman
Kaye Freeman is an Australian athlete from Queensland who has an intellectual disability. In 1992, she won a bronze medal in women’s javelin at the Paralympic Games for athletes with an intellectual disability in Madrid. At the first World Games for Athletes with Intellectual Disability in Härnösand, Sweden, she earned three gold medals (200 meters, javelin, and 4×100 meters relay) and a silver medal in the 100 meters. After retiring from athletics, she took up lawn bowls and has won the AUSRAPID Women’s Open championship several times.
