Kawato Station (川跡駅) is a junction railway station in Izumo, Shimane Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by Ichibata Electric Railway. The station is served by the Kita-Matsue Line and the Taisha Line. It is 4.9 kilometers from the Kita-Matsue Line’s Dentetsu-Izumoshi terminus, and the Taisha Line runs from Kawato Station to Izumo Taisha-mae, 8.3 kilometers away, making Kawato the Taisha Line terminus. The station has two island platforms and four tracks at ground level, connected by level crossings. The old wooden station building was replaced in 1995. Kawato Station is staffed and has the station code 5. It opened on February 2, 1930, with the Taisha Line. In 2019, about 343 passengers used the station daily.
