Kastelbell-Tschars is a municipality in South Tyrol, northern Italy, about 40 kilometers northwest of Bolzano. It covers 53.9 square kilometers and had 2,387 residents as of November 30, 2010, with a population density of about 44 people per square kilometer. The area includes these parts: Kastelbell (Castelbello), Tschars (Ciardes), Freiberg (Montefranco), Galsaun (Colsano), Juval (Juvale), Latschinig (Lacinigo), Tomberg (Montefontana) and Trumsberg (Montetrumes). It borders Latsch, Naturns, Schnals and Ulten.

The coat of arms shows a red mill wheel with eight paddles on a silver background, a symbol tied to the Counts Hendl who owned the castle from 1531 to 1949.

The mayor is Gustav Tappeiner. The postal code is 39020 and the dialing code is 0473.

Kastelbell-Tschars is in the region of Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, in South Tyrol (BZ). In 2024, 98.18% of residents spoke German as their first language, 1.77% Italian and 0.05% Ladin.
