Jack Smith (footballer, born 1885)
John Smith, known as Jack Smith, was born in 1885 in Fulwood, England. He was an English footballer who played as a right back.
His career included Moor Park (1906–1907), Blackburn Rovers (1907–1908, no league appearances), Portsmouth (1908–1910), and Reading (1910–1921), where he made over 230 appearances in the Southern and Football Leagues. He captained Reading and later served as manager from 1920 to 1922.
