Kalgi (also spelled Kalagi) is a village in Kalaburagi district, Karnataka, India. It has recently become its own taluk, having previously been a hobli and village in Chittapur Taluk.

Kalgi lies about 40 km east of Kalaburagi (Gulbarga) city and roughly 32–35 km from Chitapur. The postal code is 585312, and the area covers about 4,485 hectares. Kannada is the local language.

Population figures show about 7,635 people in 2001 (3,853 males and 3,782 females), with around 10,365 residents recorded in 2010.

For travel, KSRTC buses operate within Karnataka. The nearest railway stations are in Chitapur (about 35–40 km away) and Kalaburagi (about 40 km away).

Kalgi is surrounded by Chitapur Taluk to the south, Chincholi Taluk to the east, Basheerabad Taluk to the east, and Gulbarga Taluk to the west. Nearby cities include Sedam, Shahabad, Kalburgi (Gulbarga). Nearby villages include Kodli, Halcher, Korwar, Ratkal and Tengli.
